Beyondsun Green Energy Debuts at PV EXPO Tokyo 2026, Empowering Japan’s Green Transformation Through Differentiated Innovation

From March 17 to 19, 2026, PV EXPO Tokyo—Japan’s premier photovoltaic exhibition—was held at the Tokyo BIG SIGHT venue. As a highly influential industry event, this exhibition brought together 1,200 exhibitors and 50,000 industry professionals from around the globe to showcase cutting-edge technologies and solutions in the PV sector. Beyondsun Green Energy made a grand debut at the event, presenting three brand-new, differentiated PV modules. By closely aligning with the specific demands of the Japanese market and exploring pathways for green transformation alongside industry partners, the company effectively demonstrated the strength and vitality of Chinese PV enterprises.

Japan is currently advancing its “Green Transformation” (GX) policy. The implementation of carbon pricing mechanisms—coupled with investments totaling 150 trillion yen—has injected significant momentum into the photovoltaic industry. Consequently, the market is transitioning from a reliance on Feed-in Tariff (FIT) incentives toward a model characterized by “rooftop integration and market-driven development.” Japan’s installed PV capacity has now reached the 90 GW mark. In 2026, the market is exhibiting steady growth and structural optimization; distributed PV systems, in particular, have emerged as a primary growth driver, making lightweight, customized, and differentiated modules a core market requirement.

During the exhibition, Beyondsun Green Energy precisely addressed the needs of the Japanese market by prominently featuring three new, differentiated PV modules, which garnered widespread attention across the industry. The first product is a lightweight, single-glass PV module featuring a 1.6mm ultra-thin design. Weighing a mere 11.9 kg per unit, this module significantly reduces installation complexity and roof load pressure while maintaining both stability and power generation efficiency. It is ideally suited for Japan’s vast inventory of aging buildings and structures with lightweight roofing systems. The second product is an ultra-thin, ultra-lightweight module utilizing ETFE material. With its weight further reduced to just 9.5 kg, this module leverages the superior weather resistance and flexibility of ETFE to accommodate unique applications—such as curved roofs and irregularly shaped buildings—thereby breaking through the installation limitations inherent in traditional PV modules. The third product is a customized, anti-glare mini-module with a 192W output. With a surface area of less than one square meter, its anti-glare design effectively minimizes light reflection. This makes it perfectly suited for urban architecture, landscaped areas, and other environments where specific requirements regarding light conditions must be met, successfully balancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal.

Through its participation in this exhibition, Beyondsun Green Energy not only comprehensively showcased its technological breakthroughs and product capabilities in the field of differentiated PV modules but also gained deep insights into the policy landscape and evolving demands of the Japanese solar market. By engaging in in-depth exchanges with local partners and industry experts, the company has further expanded its strategic footprint within Japan. Moving forward, Beyondsun Green Energy will remain steadfastly focused on addressing the unique requirements of the Japanese market. Leveraging its core strengths in R&D and manufacturing, the company will continuously iterate and optimize its product portfolio while enhancing its localized service capabilities. By delivering highly competitive PV solutions, Beyondsun Green Energy aims to facilitate the implementation of Japan’s GX (Green Transformation) strategy, drive the high-quality development of the local solar industry, and collectively build a clean, low-carbon energy future.
